I draw to find peace

About Me

I am Snehasish. I started my journey with Fine Arts, where I learned the fundamentals—forms, proportions, and how to truly observe a subject. But long before that, I was simply someone who liked to draw faces. There was something about expressions that always pulled me in.

Over time, that interest grew into something deeper. I began to notice the small things—the way eyes carry emotion, the slight shifts in a smile, the silence behind a face. Portrait sketching became more than practice. It became a way to understand people without words.

Today, I still stay rooted in portraits, but I continue to explore different styles and approaches. Each piece reflects both where I started and how I am evolving.

Inspiration and Motivation

There was a phase when everything felt fast and overwhelming. Too many things happening at once. Too much noise. During that time, I turned to sketching—not with a goal, but just to sit quietly and draw.

Something changed. The moment I started sketching, things slowed down. My focus returned. The noise faded. What started as a simple habit became a space where I could breathe and think clearly.

I don’t always look for big ideas. Most of my inspiration comes from simple, everyday observations. A face, a moment, a feeling. Sometimes, even a brief expression is enough to begin.

Philosophy

For me, art is not about complexity or perfection. It is about feeling better, even if just for a while.

I draw to find peace. That is the core of my process. I sit down, pick up a pencil, and let the work unfold without pressure.

Each artwork is honest. It reflects my state of mind at that moment—calm, focused, and present.

If you connect with that feeling when you look at my work, even for a few seconds, then the piece has done its job.

Process

My process is simple. I start with a blank page and no pressure to create something perfect. I observe, I sketch, and I let the piece take its own direction.

Portraits remain at the center of my work. I focus on expressions first, then build around them. Every line is intentional, but not forced. The goal is to keep the work natural and honest.

What You’ll Find Here

This space is a collection of my journey. Some pieces are detailed. Some are minimal. Some are experiments. All of them come from the same place—an attempt to slow down and create something meaningful.

You’ll find portrait sketches, digital artworks, and explorations across different styles. Over time, this collection will continue to grow as I keep learning and evolving.

A Small Note to You

If you’re here, you probably appreciate art that feels real and unfiltered.

Take your time while going through the work. Notice the details. Sit with a piece for a moment.

And if something resonates with you, that connection is what makes this entire process worthwhile.
